Academy at HART
Where everyone can be a Kid at HARTKids at HART is our Youth Drama Program under the Artistic Direction of Shelia Radford Sumpter. Each year Kids at HART offers acting classes and hands on experience in tech to youth from the Western North Carolina area. The program was started in 2016 as a way to provide theater experience and education to youth throughout the area. No young person has to pay to be in any Kids at HART show, and there is a minimum fee for classes and camps. Sign up for our mailing list online for notifications and watch our website. Kids at HART also has a Facebook page and an Instagram.

Mission Statement
To offer quality theatre to our community as a diverse and enriching experience for both our performers and our audience. To challenge both our actors and our audience to think in new ways and see the world through fresh eyes. To offer performance opportunities to the talent in the region and showcase those abilities. To nurture and train the inexperienced, and guide those interested in a career towards educational resources available to them. To provide a resource that makes it possible for artists to exhibit their work and performers to engage in the work that is important to them.
