One of Shakespeare’s most romantic and inspiring plays. This is a magical story of love, jealousy, and redemption which builds to a moment of reconciliation and grace that helped redefine for a post reformation world a new concept of forgiveness.

SPECIAL PANEL DISCUSSION Sat. May 7 at 2pm and POST SHOW DISCUSSION following the Sat. May 7 performance – made possible by a grant from the N.C. Arts Council – Dr. Sara Beckwith, Chair of the English Department at Duke University and author of “Shakespeare and the Language of Forgiveness” and Kristen Wall of the Center for Conflict Resolution in Washington, discuss the themes of forgiveness in “The Winter’s Tale” and Shakespeare’s last four plays. The principals in the cast will also participate. The panel discussion is free to the public and will be held on HART’s Main Stage.
