Appalachia, in song and story.

Sunday, January 24 at 2:00 PM
Josh Goforth grew up in Madison County, North Carolina, surrounded by the music and stories of his ancestors. Today he’s a celebrated storyteller and multi-instrumentalist, playing close to 20 instruments across old-time, bluegrass, and swing. His fiddling was featured in the film Songcatcher, and he’s performed everywhere from the Lincoln Center to Carnegie Hall to the Grand Ole Opry, earning a Grammy nomination along the way. For one afternoon only, he brings his instruments and his heritage to the HART stage for a performance rooted in the Blue Ridge Mountains, equal parts concert and homecoming. A night for anyone who loves Appalachian music, or just a good story well told.
